Hello Family and Friends!
Shad is doing great! Here is a picture he took of himself yesterday as he waited for the plane to take him to his next destination (his yesterday, our today... I believe that’s right?? Hee! Hee!). He's still not quite sure what his job will be but hopefully should know soon. I asked him if he felt frustrated about not knowing and he said a little bit, but we all know Shad... he goes with the flow. It's been great chatting with him every day over the last month or so. Unfortuantely, going forward, we won't be able to talk on a daily basis. He will call us when he can. I'm keeping a phone by my side 24-7!
It's spring! It's spring! Liam and I are so excited!! Today we are coloring our Easter eggs (Will post photos soon) and off to shop for our Easter treats and prizes. I'm cooking a nice traditional ham dinner for my brother's and my nieces and nephews. It will be a full house of Easter eggs, Easter egg hunts and games, games and more games! Both Liam and I are very excited for tomorrow and we will say a dinner prayer for Shad (Daddy) and the rest of our troops. We hope you will all do the same.
Liam, Shad and I thank our wonderful family and friends for your support! We wish you a blessed Easter Sunday. We love you all!
Happy Easter!
Love,
Amy

Yippee! I received a call from Shad today. He made it to the Middle East yesterday and is waiting to find out where he will be stationed and what his specific job is for the next 6 months. He knows where he will be going but is unable to share that information. He is still not sure what his job responsibilities are. He will learn what it is when he reaches his final destination. Shad feels good after his travels, just a little tired adjusting to the 8-10 hour time difference. It was so nice to talk with him however our time was limited. I want to say the phones they use are solar but I could be wrong. It was a great connection, very clear. I think I need to take notes when we talk so I get the specifics correct. (Ha! Ha!)
Liam and I are doing well. I heard from Matthew's mom last week and Matthew is doing good too. He is in a pre-school type daycare in Maine and learning a lot. Audrey was here for a visit in February, before Shad left in March and is growing like a weed. She's very tall and beautiful and hard to believe she's just going to be 8 years old because she looks so grown up already. She really enjoyed meeting her baby brother Liam when she was here for 10 days. We miss Audrey and Matthew... our hope is to arrange to get both of them here to come visit at the same time after Shad returns.
I'm doing well but really miss my husband. I'm keeping really busy with work and Liam, Liam, Liam! I joined Curves last week and work-out during lunch break at work, when I can. It's been really good for me mentally, not to mention physically. I'm eating better too which also helps my mental outlook. I have to get in shape because Liam will be walking before we know it. He's rolling all over the place, next is crawling and then walk, walk and walk. Our sweet pea is growing like a weed!
Well, that's all for now... love and peace to you all.
Many Blessings from the Bowe's

Shad left the country today
Hello everyone! Shad is on his way, high up in the air flying to his overseas destination as I type these words. He left Fort Bliss early this afternoon. He got a visit from Tim, his dad yesterday. Tim drove 5 hours each way in his new Corvette. Shad was grateful he got a day to spend with him before he left. I was grateful too. (Thanks Time!)
I was very lucky... I got talk to Shad every day/evening for the last month while he was in Fort Bliss training before his departure. It will be hard going forward becuase we will not know when we will hear from him next and it could be days. We are thinking positive thoughts and counting the days down until he returns safe in our arms.
Liam is changing so fast... I sent Shad photos every day via our IPhone's (I love our IPhone's). Liam can say "Maa Maa" and "Bah Bah". We are currently working on "Dah Dah". He's not quite crawing yet but is rolling all over the place. He likes to push himself backwards to get to his toys. I feel like we should have a "Beep, Beep" warning like a utlility truck. Ha! Ha! I give it a couple more weeks and he'll be crawling. I began child proofing the house. I am going to be picking up some gates to put up very soon. I video tape Liam when I can and plan to send videos to Shad via e-mail and on this Blog. I love technology!
Well, that's all for now. God Bless you all and please continue to keep Shad and our troops in your prayers.
Much Love,
Amy & Liam

Our 1st Family Blog!
We did it... we created our family blog. This is so much fun!! My friend Ann has a blog and we've enjoyed watching her sweet little Will grow these last 11 months. I can't believe he will be 1 year next month! Our Liam will be 8 months in a week already! Boy, people are right when they say cherish it, your baby will grow fast.
Shad's off supporting our country for Operation Enduring Freedom. Please keep him in your prayers along with the rest of our country's troops.
