Hello family and friends!
Since our last post in July... I know... I know... July was a long time ago being today is September 1st. Please forgive me but temporarily being a single parent with not a lot of extra help keeps a woman pretty busy, LOL. As soon as I sit down, I'm falling asleep. Hee, Hee!
Without giving it away, we are down to the count for Shad's return. We're at the home stretch!!! We simply can't wait! Liam gets very exciting when he sees his daddy on Skype! It's so cute... Shad gets a big kick out of watch him walk all over the house. I take the lap top and follow Liam while he cruises our house so Shad can watch how mobile he is. Liam is definitely my weight control program... I'm burning the calories chasing him around and around. It's been so much fun!
Thank you all who were able to make it to Liam and Matthew's Birthday celebration in early August! It truly was a special day as we had Matthew here with us for the weekend. He came for a short visit with his mom from Maine! We were blessed to have him here so we could celebrate the boys’ birthdays together. The boys were able to see Shad on Skype too! It was great!!!
Liam has 4+ teeth now, walks like a pro and is working on his running, opening doors and teasing skills. He is one smart cookie! Matthew is getting so big too. He is tall and looks just like Shad when he was 4! So cute! Audrey has been busy in California working on her acting career. She was recently in a play and loved it. She is definitely a Star! We miss her and hope to see her after Shad returns.
Thank you all for your love and support!
Love and Hugs,
Amy and Liam

Happy July Everyone!
I can't believe the last time I posted on our family blog was May 18th! Sorry it's been so long since I've given an update to everyone. Liam and I have been very busy with my family this summer. Grandma and Grandpa Jugasek are here from Florida for the summer. It's been really fun and Grandma and Grandpa are having SOOOO much fun with our sweet little Liam. He's walking around furniture and crawing up the stairs. He'll be walking all on his own any day now. We have gate galore all over the house! His first words are "Mom" and "Num". (Is Num a word?) Liam is also working on cutting his two top teeth. Every day is an advaenture at the Bowe resdience. Now it's planning time for Liam's big 1 year birthday party! Woo Who! Boy this year went by SOOOO fast!!!
Shad is doing good and we are all still counting down the days for him to get back home to us. We are happy that his deployment is half over. One more mile stone closer to him coming home. Liam gets to see his daddy on Skype occassionally and knows his daddy! Its challenging because Shad works 6pm to 6am and usually misses Liam because he is fast asleep by the time Shad can Skype us. We simply CAN NOT WAIT until daddy comes home!!!!!
Please check out the current pictures posted. I promise to update again very soon!
Love to all,
Amy

Liam is crawling!!!! Sunday, May 16th was the BIG DAY!
Our little doodler is crawling... he is SOOOO excited and so is Mommy! The gates up and I'm working like crazy to child proof our home... moving doggie dishes, kitty liter and all. He is so much fun to watch as he explores his surroundings and finds new places to go and hang out. I sure wish Shad was here to watch him with me. Liam is just giddy because he can go where he wants all on his own. Liam is eating big peoples food too... bananas, cookies, crackers, baked beans, cooked peas, carrots etc. His two bottom teeth are moving in fast and we are waiting to see which one pops up next. He is a very happy little baby boy and such a blessing.
I've been gearing up for a big neighborhood garage sale this Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Many of you may be asking, "Are you crazy?" Well, the answer is "YES"!! I coordinated a neighborhood garage sale to boot. Six families filling up their garage for people to find hidden treasures. It should go off with a bang and will totally help clean out the many things we buy but don't need.
Shad is doing really good. We hear from him almost daily and are able to Skype from time to time too. He hasn't seen Liam crawling on Skype yet, but hopefully this by this weekend he'll get a little show. Shad would love to hear from you... either by posting on this blog, by letter or e-mail. He started taking online classes while he's away to help pass the long days and to build on his portfolio. He's such a go-getter, that husband of mine. You go babes!
I would like to thank all our dear friends and family once again for your support while Shad is away. We appreciate each and every one of you. It's amazing how people come together in life when we most need them.
Blessings to you all,
Amy

Liam's first Baby Biscuit! YEAH!
Yes, Liam had his first full baby cookie biscuit!! He absolutely LOVES them! Of course, Mommy had a bit of a mess to clean up but it was all worth it watching him munch on his little cookie! He's eating bananas and noodles now too! What will it be next?
Liam's first tooth is half way in and the one next to it will be working its way through soon. He's chewing on everything and I call him the "Drool Monster". He will have both bottom teeth very soon! He's getting SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO BIG! His 9 month check up is in just a couple of weeks. Shad and I can't believe it's been 9 months already. Boy, when people say cherish the time, it goes fast, they were right!
Shad is doing great. Time is going slow, I think his job is kind of boring by the little comments I hear. My thought... boring is good and safe, right?! Hee! Hee! I've been able to hear from him pretty much daily. Liam and I feel very fortunate and a little guilty because so many other service people don't get the same perks. But hey, we are not complaining.
Thank you to those keeping updated and we'll have more updates very soon.
Many Blessings,
Amy, Shad and Liam

Our love child!
I never could have imagined that life could be so great! Today is our 2 year wedding Anniversary. God has blessed me with a truly, amazing man!!! I never dreamed I would meet my soul mate on www.match.com but I did!!! We were meant for each other.
Today, I received a BEAUTIFUL bouquet of pink, white and red flowers from my sweet husband. He's overseas fighting a war and he still manages to surprise me. He makes me feel so special. I can only hope I make him feel just as special.
I never dreamed two years after we married, I would be blessed once again with a gorgeous baby boy to call our own. Just seven months after our beautiful Jamaican wedding (where we met our dear friends who stood up for us, Ray and Karen from Buffalo, NY)... SURPRISE... I'm pregnant!!!! I thank God every day for what he has given me. I have a wonderful husband, who I adore... a beautiful, healthy baby boy who gives us joy each day... two fabulous step-children, Audrey and Matthew... and dear, dear family and friends who are always there for love and support.
Thank you Lord! Thank you Shad for picking me! I love you!
Many Blessing to All...
Happy Anniversary Babes...

Liam got his first tooth and we got to see Daddy on Skype... YIPPEE!
What a weekend!!! Friday was a treat... I discovered that our little guy got his first tooth pushing through. Can you believe I didn't even know he was teething? I had an idea he was starting to teeth... drool galore!!! He has been happy as can be, no out of the ordinary fussing, no fever, no diaper rash... and there it was... a little bitty tooth!!! I discovered it after hanging up the phone after talking with Shad/Daddy. I was so excited and couldn't call him back... boo hoo! So, I called my mom with excitement!!! I almost peed my pants... I know it sounds extreme, but my little baby is growing so fast! The drool has increased since Friday so I'm sure there are more teeth working their way in. Liam is such a little trooper. To top that, he had his second dose of flu shots last Wednesday (two shots, one in each leg) and he didn't even flinch! Not one flinch!!! He is amazing; the nurse could not believe it. He's so tough!!
On Saturday, my brother Ken and I discovered the refrigerator decided to die. So, we rushed to put the food in the freezer into the big freezer (thank God for an extra freezer) and luckily we had a mini fridge to hold the other food. We didn't lose much food at all, thanks to our speedy work. On Sunday, Liam and I went refrigerator shopping. I found a new one and at a good price. It will be delivered this Friday. Lately, there is never a dull moment. Luckily, Shad called and we got to discuss the fridge we wanted before I picked one out. And last but not least, the plumbing was leaking under the kitchen sink (a very slow leak). I was rescued by some great friends/co-workers at Sidmar, Joe and Leo helped repair the plumbing and no more leaks! HURRAY! Thank the good Lord for great friends and family. We are truly so blessed.
Sunday late afternoon was the BEST!!! Liam and I got to talk and see Shad on Skype for the first time since his departure! We had not seen him for almost a month and a half. Liam lit up like a little Christmas tree. It was so cute... he remember his Daddy’s face and of course, knows his Daddy’s voice. We were so excited to see him!!! We miss and love him sooooo much!!!
Blessings to all,
Amy and Liam

Easter Baby Boo!
We had a very nice Easter holiday with my brothers and their families. Liam was so excited to spend the day with his cousins, he didn't even take an afternoon nap!! He's such a trooper and was happy as a little beebee all day long. He slept like a baby... oh wait, he is a baby... all night, not one peep. He really enjoyed watching he older kids with their Easter egg hunt.
We sure missed Shad/Daddy. It was great to hear from him Easter Sunday and tell him about our day.
Hope all our loved ones had a great Easter too!
Blessings to you all!
Amy
